NuCAS appoints former DWF Managed Services chief as investor and strategic adviser
Newcastle, UK — 2 September 2026 — NuCAS Managed Legal Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark St John Qualter as a Strategic Adviser to the Board and Investor. With more than three decades of leadership experience covering legal services, strategy, artificial intelligence, and governance, Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will support the Board as NuCAS continues to grow.
Mark joins NuCAS following a distinguished career in the regulated sector. He served as Chief Executive of DWF's Managed Services division, which acquired and integrated Mindcrest, a leading Alternative Legal Services Provider, scaling the combined business to more than 850 employees across three continents. He held a number of senior leadership positions at NatWest Group, including Head of Artificial Intelligence for Commercial and Private Banking, Director of Strategy, Marketing and Communications, and Head of Strategy for the Customer Solutions Group. Throughout his career, Mark has led large-scale transformation programmes, fostering innovation, and leveraging emerging technologies to enhance customer experience, operational effectiveness, and business performance.
Mark also has an impressive record of public service and governance. He currently serves as Chair of Council at the University of Buckingham and was previously a Governor of Manchester Metropolitan University for nine years, where he also served as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee for seven of those years.
