Senior Business Development and Sales Executive
Role Overview
We are seeking an ambitious, commercially minded Senior Business Development and Sales Executive to accelerate NuCAS’s growth and convert strong market interest into revenue. This is a pivotal role at a defining moment in our journey. You will lead our go‑to‑market strategy, drive outreach and relationship building, and take ownership of generating new business that will form the foundation of our future account and partner management function. Working closely with the Chief Executive and Chair, you will play a central role in shaping how NuCAS scales and positions itself in a rapidly evolving legal and AI‑enabled landscape.
Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of attracting and securing new business.
Conduct direct sales to law firms and in‑house legal teams via calls, emails, meetings, and virtual sessions.
Prepare bespoke proposals that clearly articulate NuCAS’s value.
Build and manage a high‑quality pipeline, converting interest into signed clients.

Conduct research to identify target clients based on strategic criteria.
Create and maintain target lists with key intelligence on organisations and individuals.
Use insights to prioritise outreach and refine sales approaches.

Work with the CEO and Chair to develop and deliver the sales and business development strategy.
Set clear sales targets, forecasts, and KPIs aligned to business goals.
Identify new markets, service opportunities, and partnership routes.
Provide market feedback to support service evolution.

Build strong relationships with key decision‑makers across priority sectors.
Understand client needs and shape compelling value propositions.
Ensure a smooth handover from sales to delivery teams for excellent client outcomes.
Identify opportunities to deepen and expand existing client relationships.

Represent NuCAS at client‑facing events including seminars, webinars, roundtables, and conferences.
Support the planning and delivery of NuCAS‑led events to raise our profile.

Develop compelling sales materials, pitch decks, and client collateral.
Ensure all materials reflect NuCAS’s brand and value proposition.

Work closely with the CEO and Chair on priorities, pipeline management, and decision‑making.
Oversee CRM usage and ensure accurate pipeline and performance reporting.
Provide regular updates on sales activity and conversion metrics.

Proven experience in sales or business development within a legal environment.
Strong relationship‑builder with a consultative approach.
Confident generating leads, running outreach, and converting opportunities.
Comfortable working in a start‑up environment — proactive, adaptable, and commercially focused.
Strong understanding of legal team needs and professional services buying behaviours.

Proven track record in B2B sales and business development.
Experience developing and delivering a commercial growth strategy.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
Demonstrated ability to win new business and manage senior‑level engagements.
Skilled at generating leads, navigating complex sales cycles, and closing deals.
Commercially astute, data‑driven, and confident making strategic recommendations.
Knowledge of the legal sector.
